Team story

While thinking over setting a new challenge to keep life interesting and give some purpose to training through lockdown, the idea came up of running 11km each day for the first 11 days of November, to finish the last 11km just before 11am on November 11th.

We’re calling it the ‘11 Elevens Remembrance Challenge’, which we will be doing to raise money for two great to charities that provide support to services people and their families:

‘The Forces Children’s Trust’: “supporting children in need whose father or mother has died or sustained life changing injuries while serving as a member of the British Armed Forces or Civilian Forces. In these unprecedented times, our support also extends to NHS and social care families affected by the coronavirus epidemic”;

‘The Poppy Factory’ : “Supporting injured, wounded, and sick veterans back into employment. No two people’s experiences, skills or situations are ever the same. Complex health issues, such as PTSD or a physical injury developed during or after Service, can make it incredibly tough for veterans to find and sustain civilian work. The support that The Poppy Factory provides is tailored to suit each person.”;
