This year Andy Chatts, Mo Molavi, Greg Palmer and Chris Kidwell will paddle the length of NI in Open Canadian Canoes. The total distance is approx 125km, across Grade 2-3 moving water and the largest freshwater lake in Europe. Canoe NI recommend eight days for this journey, but they’re going to try and do it in two!
Why? Well, to raise funds and awareness for the Forces Children’s Trust (FCT) who provide support specifically for children who have had a parent killed whilst serving in the military. The FCT offers support by providing funding for specialist care needs, assisting widowed parents and organising activities, trips and events for the children.
