Angela Dakin and Fiona Ward are based at Episkopi Garrison in sunny Cyprus. Not content with sunning themselves on such a beautiful island they set themselves this cycling challenge!
Following numerous fundraising activities including face painting, tombola’s, jam making, school non uniform days and organising an Oktoberfest by the beach for over a hundred people. Together with the generosity and benevolence of all those who sponsored them, they managed to reach their target of raising an amazing £3461.63!!!!
So in February they set off to conquer this amazing experience with the support of all their family, friends and BFC behind them all the way!
They returned triumphant after chronicling their time away at their blog: www.bikesbabesandbuddhas/blogspot.com
On their return they went into military schools and talked to the children about their adventure and the brilliant work that the Forces Children’s Trust do and how the money raised will make a difference to children within the Forces community.
